WELCOME TO THE FIRST EPISODE
Welcome to the podcast Humans of SDU in which we interview people from the University of Southern Denmark and share their stories. The very first guest of Humans of SDU is Esben whom we caught shortly after graduation. You can listen to his fresh impressions as well as rich student experience.
- What were the most enjoyable moments of Esben’s student life and why is it sometimes good not to go to a lecture?
- Why did he decide to change his field of study after 3 years of medicine and how did he come to terms with this “failure”?
- What is he looking forward to in his new life chapter?
How did we find Esben?
It was a real pleasure talking to Esben. We were lucky enough to catch him exactly two days after he found out that he successfully graduated from the University of Southern Denmark and gained a Master’s degree in Operations Management. However, it wasn’t such a coincidence – we knew him pretty well and we knew what we were going for (muhehe).

“There is a difference between making a new choice and giving up. When you walk to the end of the cliff – is it giving up when you turn around and go back? Or do you have to jump off in order to progress forward?”
ESBEN
Esben was a flatmate of Anna and Martin in student dorms. And because he was very popular on the floor, him leaving was a big thing which did not go without a small dinner/party celebration. So, we decided to honor this moment of his life even more and immortalize his inspiring thoughts.
Esben has always been a go-to person in the dorms – for a piece of advice, for a joke, or for an encouragement. Go ahead, listen to his episode and find out why.
