HAVE A LAUGH WITH RASMUS
We are finishing our first season on a humorous note. Listen to Rasmus, a teacher from the American Studies department who has spent many of his student years in the US. We talk USA, negotiation, linguistics, and basketball. Listen to the last Humans of SDU episode of Season I.
- What is his favorite sport that we unsuccessfully tried to avoid in the interview?
- How did he enjoy the conservative South during his student exchange?
- What funny stories does he share about his at-that-time flatmates, now colleagues?
How did we find Rasmus?
Short story – Rasmus was Anna’s teacher for the Negotiation Globally course at the university.
Long story – He shared so many incredible stories during his lectures (solely topic-related, of course) that Anna’s podcast head-hunter instinct immediately set off the alarm. At the end of the following semester (once all the grades were settled – just to make sure), Rasmus visited us at our improvised dorm-room recording studio and the 21st episode of Humans of SDU came into existence.

“Out of the only two straight guys in the program, which was me and Jim, our supervisor had a 50% chance. And I had a girlfriend at that time…”
RASMUS
Not only that we spent approximately twice as much time on recording with Rasmus as with any other guest (yes, thaaat many stories!) but we also had twice that many laugh outbursts (we especially recommend listening to the one starting 40:05).
“I don’t know if this is true but this is the story he told me…,” Rasmus starts another hilarious anecdote. Brighten up your day by listening to his merry episode and find out what famous person the mysterious “Jim”, whom Rasmus mentions in the quote, is.
